ReplyDeleteI am in college and the college is very old fashioned. we ha a computer maintenance class (I am in it) we would like to set up a WiFi hot spot in the canteen but the college will not allow it as they say it would cost them too much money. I would like to know how we could set up the virtual WiFi Router in the college to demonstrate that it doesn't have to cost money..
ReplyDeleteCan you help me with this or give me some advice on how I would go about doing this?
PLEASE HELP
Ravi, nice software! I have been breaking my head on creating adhoc network to share my USB 3G dongle. I had no luck till I found your software. At least I could sleep peacefully with my 2 androids and 1 blackberry connected to wifi.
ReplyDeleteI would like to know from you where I was going wrong. This is what I did -
1. Shared (ICS) my dialup connection for Airtel 3G USB modem with Wireless Network adapter.
2. Created an adhoc network SSID with no encryption.
Now neither my android 2.3 phone nor blackberry curve could not detect the SSID. My other laptop only detected it but since it is my office laptop and it is policy protected, it did not allow me to connect (showed a red X sign against it).
I would be thankful to you if you can help me understand the concept better.
Adhoc network is not supported by mobile devices.. Using the windows apis you will be able to create a wifi which can be shared even with such devices.. mail me if need information..
DeleteAmazing software man... kudos !!!
